Last night’s show gave me a high that kept me up almost all night well into the wee small hours. Those that caught my short set were engaged, attentive, and quite generous with their applause. I think I knew I was in for a good show when I first walked in, and saw the light blue sign on the door that read something like: “Please be QUIET. Only LISTENING beyond this point”. Today is Valentine’s Day, and like we should every day of this wonderful life, today we celebrate everything LOVE. Traditionally today is the day we specifically recognize and affirm those in our life who we love and love us back. In the past, I have always viewed February 14th as a romantic holiday meant only for romantic relationships. But as I recently have been attempting to reinvent my own life and truly examine what Love is, I have come upon a new understanding of how this four letter word feeds me.
